The REDARC Smart Start SBI224D is designed for commercial vehicles, protecting the start battery from excessive discharge while providing 24V DC with a continuous rating of 200A. This dual sensing model allows the auxiliary battery to charge from external sources like AC battery chargers or solar panels.

When the auxiliary battery reaches 26.4V from an external source, the SBI224D will charge the start battery as well. The microprocessor-controlled battery isolator features power-saving technology to prevent high voltage transients, making it preferable over diode battery isolators due to voltage drop issues.
